First day of school

It was kind of Cody's first day of school. It was only for about 20 minutes. They colored a picture, met the teacher and that was about it. I think they were finishing up paperwork and then the real first day is tomorrow. It was anticlimatic for him but he still seems excited. I can't believe my little Cody is in Kindergarten! Emma went all day today. She's not home yet....I'm sure she had a great day. She has been missing school all summer! My little girl is in 2nd grade!

Cody caught a squirrel!

So Kevin and Cody went to cut firewood in the woods and came back with this squirrel. Cody caught it! The kids put it in one of our trees...haven't seen it since. What a funny kid! Last weekend we went on a minivacation to Pocatello to a waterpark and to Idaho Falls to a Chuckar game. It is a minor league baseball team. The Red Robin was there and the kids liked him.

Not so wild baby horses

The baby wildhorses let us pet them. We have our eye on some to possible adopt. We have to wait and bid on them with everyone else. This exposure to the kids will help with their training. They are sooooo cute and the kids fell in love!
Some more horses after we fed them.

Feeding the wildhorses

We all went with Kevin yesterday to feed the wildhorses in the holding corrals in town. Except for feeding the horses, Kevin had his first day off in 20 days due to the horse gather. It is amazing to see all that he accomplished in those 3 weeks. He is such a hard worker! Kevin had to deal with a lot in that time...TV, newspapers, Congressman, Washington gov't officials, etc. Not to mention gathering 365 horses in 4 days and then ship and process. I am glad things are slowing down for a few weeks until the adoption.
The babies! Suzanna with a newborn that is fed milk replacement.

Cody has learned how to ride a 2 wheeled bike! Emma and Kevin assisted. Way to go, Cody!

Tea Party

So, while Kevin has been working so much we have tried to have fun around here without him. We had a tea party with water (tea) and cake. We had a good time making and eating it!
Suzy started crawling last week and got her first tooth! I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast!

It has been fun having company over. A couple of weeks ago we had Chelsea's (friend and roommate from college) parents visit on their way through and then last week Chelsea, Andy and Wyatt came to visit. We had tons of fun! Baby Wyatt is adorable and very irpy!
