T-ball and a stupid steer

This is our brilliant steer! He got his head caught this Saturday in the foot part of the livestock panel! Who knows how he got it stuck because we sure couldn't free him until we cut the panel! We were pretty frustrated at first and then we had to laugh! Our horse injured himself this week also and we had to have the vet come out. He has a pretty good cut from our fence (fighting with neighboring horses, we think). Hopefully he will recover...the vet says we will just have to see how he heals. Cody hit really well in his first tee-ball game! He didn't have to use the tee and he popped some up there good. He even got a home run (due to some overthrown balls)! Great job Cody! Emma had to sit out with her ankle she injured Saturday night on a friend's trampoline. She is doing much better but it is has a small fracture so she gets to wear a neat boot for a couple of weeks. Today is the last day of school! Emma is sad school is over and Cody is glad so he can play with Emma more. I'm excited to have her home. I'm bummed for her that she has to start it out with a broken ankle. Such is life! It has been such a weird week...Travis threw up on me when I buckled him in the car this morning to take Emma to school. I'm just glad I don't have to go to work also! I'll take 1000 weird weeks and dying cars to be home with my crazy kids. If I didn't then I wouldn't have much to put on my blog! Sorry you have to go to work Kevin (I wish you were home with us)!

Emma's school had track and field day last week and this is Emma waiting for the batton for the relay. She got a first place ribbon for the 200 meter and 3 fourth place ribbons for the long jump, three legged race, and shoe race.

Sleeping Princess and an update

I thought she looked so cute sleeping. She is growing so fast! She gets her 6 month shots tomorrow! Kevin and I had our 8th anniversary on the 12th. We didn't do anything special....we had tee-ball practice and it was a crazy week. We are going to Rexburg this weekend and hope to go out to celebrate. We have had a crazy fun 8 years....4 kids, back surgery, 5 moves to 3 different states, 2 houses, 40 pounds and lots of laughs! I love you Kevin!
The kids start their tee-ball games next week. They are on the Pirates. We have baby chicks hatching. Two so far and many to come. I kept getting up in the middle of the night checking to see if they had hatched. It was kind of like Christmas! I'll post more pictures soon!

Cute chicks plus one

I just thought this was a funny picture. One of those a day in the life of...ones! Last night was the Father and Sons outing for church. The boys were gone so us girls went to the Gulls' (friends in our ward) and painted our fingernails, put on fake ones, and watched a Barbie movie. Emily, Ada and Emma showing off their nails.

We got a new batch of chicks in the mail. Only 2 were dead this time but the "overnight" mail still took 4 days! We were so happy they were mostly alive this time. We have lost a couple more since then but they also sent a baby turkey! I think we have 28 chicks and 1 turkey now. We are also incubating 24 eggs. It is our first time so we will see what happens.

Travis turned 2!

Travis is 2! He got this Pooh bear tractor, among other fun things. It has tons of buttons that he loves to push and laugh.
He also got this tee-pee we made. All are enjoying being indians.

This weekend

We went fishing today at the kids pond out at the golf course. Yes, Challis has a small golf course! They stock it with steelhead for the KIDS. While we were there helping the kids, there were 2 men (clearly from out of town) fishing in the KIDS pond! They will probably go home and brag about the steelhead they caught! Hee hee! Emma caught a rainbow trout but it was raining too hard to stay to catch more. Travis had a blast! Pictures from the "birthday party." There was a boy cake and a girl cake.

Some of the kids at the party.

Oh Suzanna!

Suzie started spitting and making tooting sounds (with her mouth)! She is so happy and fun. I'm really being spoiled. We've had a fun weekend...we had a "birthday party" for all of our children and our friends' (The Gulls) children. It got us out of a lot of parties or promises of parties and then not doing it, which sometimes happens for whatever reason. Cody hasn't ever had a party with friends since his b-day is just after Christmas. It worked out great! We did a pinata, scavenger hunt, bean bag toss and had cake and ice cream. Everyone had a great time (I think) and we didn't do presents. Luckily, our kids are all about the same age and we had a couple others there also. Yes, it was a cop out but all were satisfied and had a fun time. They get plenty of presents anyways. Maybe a one-time catch all party, maybe not!
