Chicks galore

We've been hatching chicks all week! Kevin made this awesome brooder for them. We have 20 hatched as of this minute with the possibility of more. The kids have really enjoyed the process and we continue to learn each time. Emma and Cody did show and tell with a few of them today. We were mobbed by the whole school (it felt like). They were a hit and almost as popular as the girl who brought miniature donkeys for everyone to ride!

Playing around

We went walking around the hills recently looking for cool rocks. We were able to find some spots with no snow and it was nice to get out. We plan on putting them in our rock polisher that Santa brought. We have 41 eggs in the incubator and hopefully we get some to hatch. They are due to hatch near the 13th. Last time we got about a 60% hatch rate. I forgot to fill it with water for a week so I'm keeping my hopes up that they will still hatch.

It was a frozen fog part of the time but Suzy had a great time in the backpack and was a real trooper. All the kids are super tough and so much fun to be with in the outdoors!
Emma has gotten really good at ice skating and Travis decided to try. He had a blast!

I now can scan photos!

We recently got a new printer and now can scan photos! I am so excited so I had to post some of my first ones. Ahhh...young and skinny! Kevin and I are both about 4 years old in these pictures (I think).

Isn't he adorable? This is why we have such cute kids!
