Our baby is 2!!!!

Suzanna had been quiet for awhile and she finally resurfaced looking like this! She had been in her big sister's room!
I don't remember why Cody and Suzy were upset but it didn't seem to phase Travis and Emma! Cody is currently in the lead in his school for running the most laps. Since they started he has run over 160 laps. I see a future cross country star!

Watch out world!

October

We had a fun time with Halloween this year. The kids really got into it and we had a lot of parties to dress up for. One of Emma's friends parents did a hayride through a "haunted" ghost town and party out near their ranch. She is still talking about how fun it was!
Our "Scary" cowboy. When I asked him why he was a scary cowboy he said it was because he had guns!
We had a great time having Kevin's parents here for a couple of weeks. Kevin didn't have any luck with elk this year but he did get this great buck! He also killed a cow with his truck during hunting season. Him and his truck survived to tell the story but the cow wasn't so lucky! Thankfully, Kevin was being looked after from above!

Ironically, while Kevin was hunting elk south of town....we had about 60 just over our fence. His tag wasn't for this area so it didn't matter anyway:)

Catching up on photos from September

Grandpa Thompson's military funeral. We were glad we got to go down to Utah to be with Kevin's family. Emma and Cody in the Homecoming parade with some of the other 4-Hers.

Travis' first day of pre-school. It is the developmental pre-school for help with his speech. He loves it!

We had a good year for our pasture grass. The ducks love being out to graze.

The end of summer and school today!

School started late this year! Today is the first day of school and I hope it went well!
The greenhouse.....it has been done for awhile but I thought I would show everyone the fruit of our labors. It about kicked my butt but it has been worth it just in tomatoes! This summer has been bliss for us. I really mean that. We have had a wonderful time together as a family in the mountains and at home. This is us on one of our many berry picking/fishing/firewood cutting trips up the mountain about 20 minutes. And P.S.--Travis is POTTY TRAINED! Life is good!

Fair pictures!

Emma at the Custer County Fair after showing her duck! She did great!
I thought I would show you how tiny and beautiful our fair is. This is the market animal show ring.

This was our campsite at the fair. There are no rules to where you can camp....it was amazing to have no rules or fees unlike the fair growing up.

Summer days!

We finally finished the kid's playhouse with much sweat and effort! I think it turned out great and the kids are loving it! We are having a great summer. The kids have been cooling off in the irrigation ditch. You can find many boats and sticks nearby and tons of wet clothes drying on the deck! Emma has loved picking flowers and my flowers have really started to grow well this year so I have had plenty to spare! We are currently working on the greenhouse...and hope to finish this week. It has been a little more difficult than planned but really looks nice. We have had to beef it up with extra support and screws. Pics will come soon!

The 4th of July

Such good times!

Fun time with family in Washington

We went up to Washington for a little vacation to see our niece, Clara, be baptized and visit with family. We had a great time!

Summer pics

The boys coming back from getting the mail. A relaxing time with Shauna and Rodger in the mountains.

Bayhorse State Park.

Emma painted one of her chicken's toenails recently.

Spring pictures

The kids did great in T-ball and it was fun to have Grandma and Grandpa Lloyd and JJ there for the last game. Exploring the forest and old cabins. This is one of our favorite past times as a family.

The Tanagers flock to Challis in the spring and this is one that hit the front window and was stunned long enough for a photo!

Kevin made this gate recently and we are excited to show off his handiwork.

A busy time of the year!!

Emma and Cody are playing T-ball and doing great! We've had so much fun watching and Kevin is helping to coach.
We went to Blackfoot for the Eastern Idaho Horse Expo and Kevin adopted out a horse and burro. We had fun having them at our house for the last month but were glad they were going to other homes. Kevin had them gentled down a lot and it was fun for the kids and I to be there with him.

We had a blast having so much family at Emma's baptism. On Saturday we went looking around in the hills with Lisa, J.J., Grandma and Grandpa Lloyd and Grandma Veona.

The Salmon River

We played in the sand on Monday on the banks of the Salmon. The kids were off for Spring break and Kevin fished for Steelhead. It was a beautiful afternoon and the kids made sandcastles and had a good time.

My little sand angels!
