The kids this week.

We rode C.J. today. He's been in a neighbor's pasture for the last month. Kevin walked him home and the kids and I went for a ride. This is Cody with Kevin leading him. Suzanna has the most hair of any baby around! This is last Sunday for church with her hairdo. She has been teething this week...no teeth have popped through yet.

I've been trying to catch Travis with the boots on his hands and feet and Kevin finally caught him. I tried to take a picture last week and he threw the boots that he had on his hands at me and flung the boots on his feet at me!

Our blue-eyed darlings.

Piano

We finally found a piano! We have been looking for a cheap one that was in good condition for years now. We were so excited to find one here in Challis from an older couple that didn't have use for it anymore. The lady cried when she saw how excited Emma was and that it was going to a good home. Hopefully Emma can start lessons soon, depending on how booked the teacher is. Cody signs up for little kid wrestling next week. We should have some entertaining pictures! It only lasts two weeks and they get a tee-shirt. Just perfect for a 5 year old! I moved some geraniums indoors this fall right around the first frost and they are doing really good. They have been blooming all winter and have been keeping my kitchen very cheerful. I have been taking cuttings and growing more also....I'm running out of counter space. Luckily, one of our next projects is to put up the greenhouse we bought a year ago. It will be a beast so we keep putting it off.
More of some happy kids with their new (old) piano.

Suzanna is happy too! She is so sweet. She laughs and smiles whenever you talk to her. She has really made our family complete! She is just as crazy as the others! I moved her cradle next to the windows in the front room now the piano is in there. She loves looking outside at all the geese that fly over.

Travis on his blessing day July 2007

I didn't have any new pictures to post this week so I decided to post some old pictures of the kids. This is Travis on his blessing day in July of 2007 when we lived in Vernal, Utah. This is Cody if you can believe it! He used to love being in the playpen. I would try to get him out and he'd cry. He still loves to play so much! This was in the fall of 2004 soon after we had moved to Vernal. He was about 9 or 10 months old.
Emma my chicken roper! She has always loved chickens and can catch them so easily. This was the summer of 2004 in Vernal and she was about 2 and 1/2. She caught this chicken on her own...in her diaper no less!

I made Emma this skirt this weekend. I'm not much of a seamstress so I'm pretty proud of it. I didn't have a pattern. Thank goodness the picture is from far away! Yes, Emma doesn't match today but she is sick...I let it slide:) The bunkbed is complete!!!! Kevin finished the ladder this weekend. We are both improving our skills. It is mostly for wanting cool stuff and not wanting to pay tons for them....and it is fun. We framed up the chicken coop addition this weekend also. Those are some lucky chickens. I'll post pictures once there has been more progress made for all the interested parties. If not...oh well!

Last weekend we took Emma ice skating for the first time at the school rink. She did really good for her first time but I was bummed I forgot my camera. The school makes an ice rink every winter and provides skates for each class room. They get to skate during lunch recess if they want. All last week Emma skated at lunch with the help of the "big kids," she says. You've got to love a small town! After skating the boys wanted to go sledding so we took them to a place near our house that still has snow.
Travis loves wearing boots! Sometimes just one boot, sometimes two different boots. He has gotten up in the middle of the night and put boots on and gotten back in bed! Luckily he has lots of boots! This morning (although sick) he was wearing one snowboot and stomping around the kitchen. I hope his boot phase never ends!!
